Purpose

Experienced Payroll Clerk will work closely with our staff and customers to prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports and Union reports. This individual must demonstrate strong attention to detail work independently as needed and must have a strong customer service outlook.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Payroll Clerk

Reports to:Controller

Location:North Salt Lake City UT (In-Person)

Status:Full-time

Hourly Pay Rate:$20-24/ hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Prepare review and submit certified payrolls and monthly union reports.

Maintain accurate classification of labor categories wage rates prevailing wage determinations.

Respond to customer inquiries.

Process monthly Union Benefit reports and payments.

Support audits.

Additionally help process garnishment requests including child support

Assist the Payroll Manager in other tasks.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of Bargaining employee payroll experience.

Understanding of Bargaining payroll laws and standards including Davis/Bacon requirements.

Understand the Certified Payroll process.

Attention to accuracy and detail.

Excellent organizational written and oral communication skills.

Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word One Drive).

Ability to work independently.

Preferred Construction Payroll Experience.

Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure all processes follow company policies.

On-site work. This is not a remote position.

Education/Experience

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Associate degree or relevant experience in a related field is preferred.

For this position you must have authorization to work in the United States.
