Accounts Payable Officer
Job Summary
As an AP Officer your main responsibility will be to ensure all invoices are approved and paid on time while maintaining the accounts payable system. You will also resolve complex issues while ensuring compliance with policies. You will be reporting to the AP Supervisor based in UOA Shah Alam.
Responsibilities
- Youll review and verify assigned locations invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals are compliant with internal controls process and level of authority before payment
- Youll process invoices and payments for assigned locations
- To resolve invoice discrepancies and issues (identify communicate and facilitate resolution for suppliers)
- Youll correspond with internal and external parties and respond to inquiries
- Youll reconcile unapplied pre-payment in supplier account to ensure no long outstanding item
- Help with month end closing and produce monthly reports i.e. Supplier Reconciliations and other ad-hoc reports
- To involve in monthly calls with local finance and procurement to discuss/resolve any pending issues
- To involve in yearly audit and providing any required information from Internal and External auditors
- Participate in ad-hoc projects help implement findings and sustainability of achievements
Requirements
- Minimum a diploma / bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable
- Youll need to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia English and Mandarin (both verbal and written)
- We prefer hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Oracle or SAP; candidates with exposure to SAP S/4HANA QAD stand out.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate competency in Excel
- Selfdriven and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Detailoriented and wellorganized a commitment to meeting timelines
