We are currently seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join our team and help us continue our success.
Position Overview:
As an Actuarial Consultant you will play a critical role in the success of our company by providing financial and risk management expertise. You will work closely with our project managers clients and other team members to analyze and evaluate data develop strategies and make recommendations that will help us achieve our business goals. This is a full-time permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct actuarial analysis and risk assessments for various construction projects
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and potential risks
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop risk management strategies
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and inform decision-making
- Participate in client meetings and provide expert insights and recommendations
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to financial risk management
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in actuarial analysis and risk management preferably in the construction industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis software
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to risk management
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Professional certifications (such as ASA FSA or CERA) preferred but not required
