Job Summary

How You Will Make an ImpactThe Parts & Service Sales Associate I will coordinate and oversee the Order Fulfillment process of Parts Accessories and Service. This will include quoting customers entering Sales/ Service orders sourcing the required parts scheduling the required resources to complete the work and invoicing. Ensure that customer orders inquiries and follow-up are performed in a timely and efficient manner to the customers total satisfaction. Work with Service Managers and sales staff to grow the Parts & Service business in a profitable Nuts and BoltsWork closely with relevant sales and branch level employees to grow the Parts & Service business in the local market by solving customers problems quickly and efficientlyRespond promptly providing quotes customer support invoices order changes and handling customer complaintsQuote and assist in managing the following customer offerings: Preventive maintenance plans Annual certifications Inspection of equipment On-sight repairs Emergency repairs the ability to purchase add-on parts and accessory items to include delivery and installProvide service second to none before during and after the saleEnter customer orders and ensure timely fulfilmentEnter and follow up on Purchase Orders with vendors ensure parts are received and issued accurately and in a timely mannerTracks shipments file claims and process returned goodsPrepare paperwork for freight and/or chassis pickup through preferred transportation companyRecommend major purchases for quick turn inventory items in accordance with company policy as it relates to the service departmentMay establish and maintain MRP review safety stocks review MRP daily purchase parts as neededMaintain type of products on display quantity quality and appearance of the display areaMay be responsible for credit card payments and related administrative tasksComply with all company and OSHA safety regulationsAssist with the annual physical inventory for Parts and Service DepartmentMaintain cycle count accuracy reportsOther duties as assignedPosition Qualifications & Requirements:Education: High School diploma or GEDAssociate Degree OR Bachelor Degree preferredExperience:Zero (0) to two (2) years customer service experience in a similar industryMarketing experience and understanding of all types of sales efforts preferredStrong mechanical and technical experience as well as understanding of all types of service activities vehicle structures vehicle equipment and vehicle electrical systems preferredCertification /License:Valid Drivers License may be requiredSkills and Abilities:Possess strong sales aptitude and willingness to learnDetailed understanding of costing inventory system and product knowledgeExperience with MS Office required; proficiency in ExcelDemonstrated skills in database management and record keeping preferredEffective oral and written communication; excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsProfessional phone etiquette and communication skills with high level of emotional intelligenceExcellent organizational skillsThe ability to collaborate with a multi-department teamSelf-starter and team player with the ability to work well with othersWork environment:Office & Branch environmentSedentary work with extended periods of computer useOccasional work in warehouse manufacturing plant or site production floorSitting standing walking kneeling talking hearing and reaching with hands and/or armsMust be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE)How We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture distribution and enhancement of work truck bodies.
