You ensure quality in the factory and are responsible for meeting quality targets. You are fully responsible for the people machinery and the identification and elimination of quality losses and problems in the department. You grow your teams capabilities and coordinates departmental activities in accordance with corporate standards local requirements and ISO this role you report directly to the plant manager with dotted line responsibility to corporate quality.

How you will contribute

You will ensure that all quality objectives goals and targets in the factory (including regional and global commitments) are met. You will develop and track your departments budget and eliminate losses. With your team you will conduct regular plan-do-act-check assessments to plan how targets will be met executing the plan and periodically checking and taking action to stay on addition you will ensure that there is strict adherence with all appropriate laws food safety quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products and manage crisis situations internally and externally in ways that support the companys image policies and business. As a people leader you are responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives set and assess performance goals and coach and mentor team members.

What you need to know about this position:

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to ensure that finished product and WIP are within specification and in compliance with Mondelez guidelines and expectations. Support Business Development and Commercialization Activities during Trials and FPAs. Lead the Hold & Release program and Support Product Traceability. Support implementation of SPC Process capability; develop reports and provide training for monitoring in iQS. Actively participation in DMS 3 and 4 to rise non-conformances to the Quality System and coordinate and execute RCA.

Support Internal Quality Audit Program.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • This role is the local leader for the Quality Process Function at the plan; leading all Operations Compliance programs such as HOLD & Release Positive Release CTQs GMPs.
  • Coordinate the workload for the Senior Quality Specialist and Quality Specialist to support the activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure Finished Product and WIP are produced within Specifications. Provide training when gaps are detected.
  • Support Compliance Manager by participating on Sensory Program activities internal audits and other tasks as needed.
  • Act as Quality Contact point on DMS 3 by attending when possible to meetings or by designating attendees to DMS meetings.
  • Execute product traceability and Hold and Release activities when product out-of-spec is produced. Coordinate completion of Quality Incident Report and data review with the BULs and Corporate.
  • Generate CTQ data in iQS to be provided as support for product trials and FPAs. Attend to BD meetings.
  • Primary contact for consumer complaint management. Review and fine tune the report with the Quality team to complete Quality Dashboard and Corporate Reports on the Corporate Share Point.
  • Participate in Corporate Quality Audits and Third-Party Audits. Hold a role as part of internal auditing team at the plant. Performing Internal audits and participating in cross-audit programs with other plants. Provides information to document RCAs and execute activities to close open CAPAs.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in food science or Engineering/ Chemical or Food Engineering
  • 3-5-years experience in a related field

Salary and Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this position is $84500 to $105650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience skills education and addition to base salary this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 8% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
