Following a comprehensive propertywide renovation The Diplomat enters an exciting new chapter as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort. We are seeking a Painter Engineer l Tradesman n to join the property operations team. Located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale featuring 1000 guest rooms and suites over 200000 square feet of meeting and event space multiple oceanfront ballrooms and six dynamic food and beverage outlets.
The ideal candidate has over 5-7 years of experienceas a Finish Carpenter has an open/flexible schedule and has a passion for hospitality.
Shift Pattern: must have full availability
Pay Rate: $36.40

What will I be doing
A Finish Carpenter Constructs inspects measures repairs maintains and dismantles structures furniture woodwork and other related item such as doors folding walls windows ceilings tile sheetrock and hardware to ensure a safe attractive and well-maintained facility. Performs shop work receives lumber deliveries and cleans and maintains workshop. Constructs signs props and banners and hangs artwork etc. as needed. Assists department in fulfilling other roles as needed. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Visually inspects diagnoses problems takes measurements and makes necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe smooth operation of guest rooms public space and back of the house facilities.
- Maintains and repair doors furniture hardware and windows. Hangs artwork and headboards etc.
- Performs shop work to repair or build furniture. Identifies types and grades of wood
measure and be familiar with hardware materials available to the carpentry trade.
