Job Summary
Position: Design Specialist Drafting
Working Hours: Monday to Fridays; 8AM to 5PM EST
Salary range: $1500- $2000 per month based on experience
Location: Remote (preferred: Open)Primary Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive shop drawings using 3D CAD software (Rhinoceros) including plans elevations sections and detailed views.
- Develop accurate bills of material (BOM) and calculate quantities for company- provided accessories.
- Generate material takeoffs (MTO) for each product within the defined project scope.
- Implement revisions and updates to drawings based on feedback from Engineering
- Project Management General Contractors and Architects.
- Collaborate effectively with internal team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings specifications and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and PDF tools such as Bluebeam.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for collaborating with internal staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and perform under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros SolidWorks Revit or similar.
- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of construction principles methods and terminology.
