Job Summary
Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular
Summary
Join a dedicated team at a Level II Trauma Center in Redding CA focusing on cardiovascular surgery. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners with recent cardiovascular surgery experience particularly in endovascular vein harvesting (EVH). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in approximately 10-11 cardiovascular surgeries per month.
- Perform rounds and write post-operative notes alongside the surgical team.
- Conduct follow-up clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Address urgent patient issues when necessary between scheduled clinic days.
- Support surgical teams by performing evaluation and monitoring of patients.
- Participate in night call duties with minimal call-back hours.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- State license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- ACLS BLS and DEA certifications.
- Substantial recent experience in cardiovascular surgical assistance required.
- Specific experience with endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) is mandatory.
License and Certification Requirements
- Clean malpractice history.
- Active/current staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges.
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation.
