A Day in the Life
The Defibrillation Solutions (DS) business is made up of the foundational therapies of the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator business (ICD) and the Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillators (CRT-D). As part of theDefibrillation Solutions (DS) Integrated Operating Unit the Commercial Marketing organization is seeking adriven ambitious and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager.The Portfolio Manager will work as part of the DS Transvenous Commercial/Downstream Marketing Team to drive growth and exceed our annual operating plan.
The Portfolio Manager will enable this growth by optimizing the overall lifecycle of the high power portfolio. They will be responsible for strategically finding opportunities to phase down and out products to heighten focus and efficiency on our core portfolio. They will partner closely with CRM Operations to develop the portfolio strategy develop business cases for product phaseouts and support the tactical commercial execution of product phase outs. Additionally they will support new product launches to ensure a seamless introduction into our operating system in regards to price and demand planning. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible to establish and leverage processes and operating mechanisms to drive informed decisions document and execute the lifecycle management plan.

A Day in the Life:
- Develop a two-year horizon lifecycle management plan for the high power portfolio
- Identify opportunities across our portfolio including devices leads and accessories for phase out opportunities. Understand the competitive landscape impact and alternate options for physicians
- Acquire voice of the customer including Field team and physicians for use cases and validate lifecycle decisions
- Define document and own the global Blackwell phase out plan in partnership with the next generation device launch team
- Lead the Portfolio Management Review (PMR) operating mechanism as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. Ensure there is a continual feed of inputs and outputs throughout the IBP process starting with PMR.
- Responsible for accurate and timely demand planning for product introduction and phase down/out.
- Model out various demand scenarios for new product introductions in collaboration with the product launch manager.
- Partner with regions on pricing modelling for new product introduction. Establish process to document assumptions.
- Responsible for resolution of issues to seamlessly run the business including supply disruptions. Monitor health of lifecycle plan execution through S&OE process.
- Partner with Operations to establish the tactical phaseout plan to ensure a seamless transition and reduce the potential of scrap and obsolescence.
- Lead proactive communication strategy with the regions and global field team on product lifecycle management plans. Accountable for regional partners product rationalization readiness.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed to assess the current business environment and make recommendations to drive acceleration and growth.
Must Have:
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of experience in operations marketing or other relevant OR advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Healthcare industry experience
- Previous commercial marketing experience

- MBA or advanced degree
- Analytical and results-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic plan of action
- Comfort navigating ambiguity with ability to develop strategy and gain consensus
- Exhibit a hands-on high-energy and go-getter style complemented by a team player attitude

- Ability to run a meeting with executive leadership to drive decision making among stakeholders
- Engaged individual ready to lean in and contribute to all subject matter across our business
- Project planning and/or process management experience
- Willingness to dig deep in to details and understand the WHY behind matters
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
