Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Minneapolis MN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 5x8-Hour Shifts
Hours: 10:00 AM 6:30 PM
Schedule: Monday Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a fast-paced acute care imaging department. The CT Tech will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for inpatient outpatient emergency and critical care populations while ensuring patient safety and imaging accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong CT imaging experience proficiency with advanced imaging equipment and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures for inpatient outpatient emergency department and ICU patients
- Conduct imaging for a wide range of studies including:
- Neurological imaging
- Full-body scans
- Cancer imaging
- Stroke imaging
- Lung screenings
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT procedures
- Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment including Siemens Force scanners
- Utilize PACS and EPIC/Excellian charting systems for documentation and image management
- Ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with radiologists physicians nurses and healthcare teams regarding patient care
- Float within scope to meet departmental and facility staffing needs as required
- Participate in weekend coverage and elective on-call rotations based on department needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Experience in the following settings required:
- Inpatient
- Emergency Room
- Community Hospital
- Adult ICU
- Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
- Experience with Siemens Force scanners preferred
- Strong communication organizational and patient care skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current ARRT Certification required
- Current BLS Certification required
Additional Information:
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital
- Magnet Teaching and Level III Trauma facility
- Total Staffed Beds: 672
- Floating to like units or sister facilities may be required
- Local candidates accepted
- Requested time off should ideally not exceed 5 days
- Guaranteed hours subject to facility cancellation policy
- Charting System: Excellian/Epic
- Required Scrub Color: Solid Gray
- COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Influenza vaccine requirements may vary by facility policy
