Department of Economics Teaching Associate Pool
POSITION	The Department of Economics at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Teaching Associate Pool. We welcome applications from current CSUF graduate students in the Economics department to teach in the subject areas of Economics. This is a pool of Teaching Associates for the department to draw on as necessary. APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS	Candidates must be a currently enrolled graduate student in the Economics department. A Bachelors (i.e. BA) degree in Economics or related field or equivalent experience. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students including first-generation college students Knowledge of the subject matter of the course(s) to which the individual is assigned. Ability to instruct and evaluate students effectively. For the initial appointment evidence of satisfactory achievement in previous academic work (transcripts and/or letters of recommendation).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS	Completion of Comprehensive Exams or Course work or satisfactory progress in thesis

COMPENSATION	All Teaching Associate appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $3245 to $7598 per month Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications not to exceed $5200 The full-time monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the time base assigned.
