This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn a single-configuration heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit geostationary transfer orbit cislunar and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn a heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earths orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing New Glenn is building the road to space.

As part of a small team youll work on launch vehicles space vehicles and launch facility systems for the New Glenn Program with a focus on system integration. Youll work across systems and subsystems to support integrated solutions to achieve our vision of millions of people living and working in space. You will support system engineering practices across disciplines predicated to a high degree on your technical skills in one or more areas of analysis design or integrated testing. Youll verify requirements using tools like DOORS Next Gen and other functional analysis toolsets. Your activities may include design reviews test and analysis planning risk and change management gated reviews fault analysis proposals configuration and data management discrepancy resolution and regulatory compliance.

In this role you will carry out systems engineering activities in accordance with system engineering standards and practices tailoring required processes to complete tasks assigned including functional and systems analysis as well as development and execution of system verification and validation plans. You will also participate in gated reviews identify analyze and resolve system discrepancies and provide support for the Element Lead.

To be successful you will develop solutions to cross-discipline design changes or discrepancies. You will also develop strategies and approaches for specialty engineering (operability reliability maintainability supportability) integration analysis verification and validation. We are looking for someone to be a strong team player with good communication skills who can work effectively in teams including government officials and independently. As such you must have good execution and coordination skills the discipline to self-start/finish and flexibility with a holistic system mindset and aptitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in engineering
  • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
  • Minimum 2-4 years of current technical hands-on experience in at least one of the below areas:
    • Analysis
    • Design
    • Integrated Testing
    • Systems Engineering
  • Current technical hands-on experience in at least one of the following focused discipline areas:
    • Fluids
    • Thermal
    • Propulsion
    • Avionics or electrical hardware and/or software
    • Structures
    • Ground Operations
    • Flight and/or Ground Autonomy
  • Comfortable working in the Atlassian Suite of tools (i.e. Jira Confluence)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • System development/integration experience preferably with aerospace hardware
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS Next Gen
  • Experience in test verification and validation planning and execution
  • Experience in reliability maintainability and operability analysis and execution
  • Launch vehicle experience
  • Experience working with government entities specifically DoD
  • Active DoD Security Clearance (TS SCI)


Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $99201.00 - $138880.35
