Lead Backend Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Lead Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in backend development cloud-native architecture on AWS and strong experience designing scalable enterprise-grade applications. Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 will be considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable secure and high-performance backend systems using .
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Drive technical strategy architecture reviews and engineering best practices.
• Work closely with frontend DevOps QA product and enterprise teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure system scalability reliability security and performance optimization.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers and development teams.
• Participate in code reviews technical discussions and solution design sessions.
• Collaborate with enterprise and SAP ecosystem teams where required.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation monitoring and infrastructure improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 years of strong hands-on experience with .
• Expertise in NestJS Fastify or similar frameworks.
• Strong experience in designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2 Lambda ECS/EKS API Gateway S3 RDS DynamoDB CloudWatch and IAM.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with performance optimization caching and system scalability.
• Excellent problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale engineering projects and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 would be a strong plus.
• Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL would be an added advantage.
• Understanding of security reliability and cloud best practices.
