Position Overview
A leading acute care medical center in Chico California is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This role involves performing advanced computed tomography (CT) and general radiographic imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care safety and image quality.
The CT Technologist will operate imaging equipment administer contrast media perform IV injections and prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic studies in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and effectively
- Prepare patients imaging rooms equipment supplies and medications
- Administer contrast media and perform IV contrast injections
- Ensure high-quality imaging results and adherence to imaging protocols
- Maintain patient safety comfort and communication throughout procedures
- Perform quality control and comply with imaging standards and regulations
- Follow ARRT standards of ethics and departmental policies
- Support radiology department goals and service excellence initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of diagnostic X-ray experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required
- Current CPR certification required
- ARRT certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Fluoroscopy permit required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT Advanced CT Certification
- Contrast media and venipuncture certification
- California fluoroscopy permit
