Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 14 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift 5x8 Hour Shifts
Hours: Monday through Friday Daytime Hours 40 Hours/Week

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist for a contract opportunity in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in fast-paced procedural environments supporting Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic and interventional imaging procedures under radiologist direction
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging and procedural exams
Explain imaging procedures clearly and provide patient reassurance
Operate radiologic and interventional imaging equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain radiation safety and patient protection standards
Assist physicians during interventional radiology and procedural cases
Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Monitor patient condition during procedures and imaging exams
Maintain accurate imaging documentation and patient records
Input required documentation into Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
Process imaging studies and maintain procedural workflow
Report equipment malfunctions to supervisory staff promptly
Follow departmental imaging protocols and hospital safety standards
Support high-volume acute care imaging and procedural environments
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year Radiologic Technologist experience required
A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license/registration required
CT or MRI experience required
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols required
Ability to work independently in acute care hospital environment required
Excellent communication and patient care skills required
English proficiency required
Preferred:
Interventional Radiology experience
Cath Lab experience
Procedural imaging experience
Acute care hospital imaging experience
BLS (AHA) preferred
