A Day in the Life
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid drivers license is essential for this role.The Medical Surgical Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis better treatment faster complication-free recovery and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.
As a Senior Operating Room Sales Representative with our Acute Care and Monitoring business (ACM) you will promote a capital and consumable portfolio that addresses respiratory surgical a goal-driven Sales Rep you are the primary person responsible for driving revenue generating sales to key hospital personnel and the end primary responsibilities include accurately forecasting your business owning customer relationshipsunderstandingand targeting customer product needs and developing and executing the sales strategy around those opportunities.

This position covers a territory from north of Fresno CA to the CA state line and also includes Reno NV. The ideal location for this rep is San Francisco Oakland or San Jose CA.
A Day in The Life
Responsible for driving capital and consumable product portfolio sales that addresses respiratory surgical complications to the Operating Room area of care as well as the C-Suite level of ahospital.
Lead territory opportunity development and activities that translate toaccuratemonthly quarterly and annual projections. The Operating Room Sales Specialist willmaintainsole ownership of providingaccurateforecasts to their Regional BusinessManagereach reporting period for theirterritory.
Identify qualify prepare and execute effective sales strategies thatmaintainthe existing base of business and support the close of competitive and revenue growthopportunities.
Probe develop and close all related product sales inquiries/leads with existing customers within assigned geographicterritory.
Coordinate and collaborate withregionallyaligned field sales team to drive incremental RMS revenue and achieve target salesgoals.
Develop negotiate close and manage profitableagreements.
Effectivelyutilizeand update sales tools to accurately address trends in existing base of business create call strategies andto manageterritory and strategic businessplans.
Effectively deliver strategic messaging in a variety of settings including trade shows presentations and board meetings
Provide productfeatureandbenefitapplication consultation drive value messaging as well as clinicalsupport.
Lead the local team in the coordination and support of clinical evaluations and pre-salessupport.
Conduct post-sales activities including implementation product education in-servicing and ongoingsupport.
Maintain and build customer relationships to understand align and support customerinitiatives.
Maintaindetailedlevel of knowledge of related products andapplications.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of related programs and value-addedofferings.
Utilize Specialist and Clinical resources in an efficient andcost-effectivemanner tooptimizesales process
Inform Regional Business Manager and local area team members of new accountopportunities.
Complete all assigned projects and administrative dutiesin a timelymanner.
Consistentlymaintainall Vendor Credentialing requirements
Must Have:MinimumRequirements
High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8 years experience*
or
Associates Degree AND 6 years experience*.
or
Bachelors Degree AND 4 years experience*.
Relevant sales clinical or related experience in medical devices medtech healthcare or life sciences.
Nice to Have
7 years of sales experiencewith a Bachelors degree
2 years of documented sales success (achievement to quota) in medical capital equipment and/or consumables
1 years in team selling environment
Experience selling to the acute care hospitaloperatingroom environment
Able to quickly compile contracts with supporting financial business case
Proven ability to succeed in complex sales and clinical environments
Strong computerexpertiseand business application
Thorough understanding of the sales process
Understanding of the medical sales arena
Strong verbal and written communication; exceptional client interaction skills
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
