We are seeking an intellectually ambitious English Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary academy. Core Responsibilities

1. Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with opportunities for A-Level instruction (English Literature or Language) for suitably qualified candidates.

2. Textual Inquiry: Guiding students through the interrogation of complex texts fostering the ability to identify nuanced themes structural choices and the socio-political contexts of diverse authors.

3. Written Eloquence: Systematically developing students ability to write with clarity flair and purpose whether for academic analysis persuasive rhetoric or creative storytelling.

4. Data-Driven Progress: Utilising the academys robust assessment framework to provide granular feedback ensuring students are equipped to meet the high demands of AQA Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.

5. Oracy Leadership: Coordinating extra-curricular initiatives such as debating societies school newspapers or World Book Day celebrations to promote a vibrant culture of literacy across the academy.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who believes that the study of English is essential for developing informed articulate and empathetic citizens. Requirements include:

• English Teacher Institution Dates

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in English Literature English Language or a closely related discipline.

• Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes at GCSE and A-Level with a deep understanding of terminal examination requirements and assessment objectives.

• Pedagogical Flair: The ability to bring a wide range of texts to life making the microscopic details of language and the macroscopic themes of literature accessible to all learners.
