Job Summary
Were looking for an Automation Tester to join a delivery team in Halifax working primarily with Python and Robot Framework across functional regression and integration testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented communicates well across teams and is comfortable working in a structured QA environment.
What youll do
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Python and Robot Framework
- Execute automated and manual test cases based on project requirements
- Identify log and track defects through to resolution
- Collaborate with developers QA leads and business teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage
- Contribute to functional regression and integration testing efforts
What you bring
- Strong hands-on experience with Python
- Practical experience with Robot Framework
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
- Experience with test case design and defect management tools
- Eligibility for a mandatory background check
- Valid Canadian work authorization (Canadian Citizen Permanent Resident open or closed work permit)
Nice to have
- Experience with API testing
- Familiarity with Selenium or similar automation tools
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Background in banking or capital markets
Work setup
- Onsite in Halifax 4 days per week (non-negotiable)
- Contract role with potential conversion after 3 months
- English proficiency required
