Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IBM Cognos / DataStage Developer to support enterprise data integration and reporting initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining ETL processes and BI solutions to enable effective data management and business insights.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
- Develop and maintain reports dashboards and analytics using IBM Cognos.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance scalability and reliability.
- Ensure data quality consistency and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Support production environments troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.
Required Skills
- Strong hands on experience with IBM DataStage (ETL development job design performance tuning).
- Expertise in IBM Cognos BI (reporting dashboards metadata modeling).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with data integration migration and transformation projects.
- Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- Prior experience in financial services or healthcare domains is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for data integration preferred.
