Job Summary
We are seeking an Alteryx Senior Developer with 7 11 years of experience in designing developing and optimizing data workflows and analytics solutions using Alteryx tools. This role focuses on building end to end ETL pipelines data workflows and analytics that support data driven decisions and enterprise data strategies.
Job Description
You will use Alteryx Designer and Server to create automate and maintain complex data workflows ETL operations and predictive analytics. You will analyze large datasets collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders and ensure data quality and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
You will also optimize performance and scalability for existing pipelines and mentor junior team members on Alteryx best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and implement end to end data workflows using Alteryx to meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Alteryx workflows and data processing.
- Perform data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) operations using Alteryx and SQL.
- Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and support data driven decision making.
- Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable reusable solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Optimize existing data pipelines and workflows for improved performance and scalability.
- Document workflow designs processes and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate Alteryx solutions with other data platforms (e.g. SQL cloud data warehouses BI tools).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Alteryx tools and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies throughout data handling and processing.
Mandatory Skills
- Alteryx Strong hands on experience using Alteryx Designer and Server including:
- Predictive tools parsing and transforms for data enrichment.
- ETL workflows data blending spatial tools and macro workflows.
- SQL Strong experience with SQL queries for data extraction transformation and validation.
- ETL / Data Processing Experience with data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) using Alteryx and supported databases.
- Performance Optimization Experience optimizing workflows and data pipelines for scalability and speed.
- Data Governance & Security Understanding of data governance data quality and security best practices.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake Redshift Azure Synapse BigQuery).
- Experience integrating Alteryx with BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Experience with macro development Python or R in Alteryx and API integrations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for working with business teams.
