Job Type: Permanent Part-time

Hours: 32 hours per week Monday to Friday. Plus 1 in 4 weekends

Shifts: Between 8.30 - 19:15

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Norwood.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. You will be responsible for welcoming clients and their pets to the practice in a warm professional manner and providing support to our friendly team.

Previous experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients at the front desk
  • Answering phone calls to book appointments medication requests and general enquiries
  • Registering new clients and their pets
  • Monitoring the admin emails
  • Checking online bookings are allocated
  • Recommending Pet Health for Life
  • Dealing with day to day enquiries
  • Liaising with the vets and nurses regarding appointments
  • Debt handling
  • Scanning and uploading documents
  • Allocating messages/ requests on the practice management system
  • Keeping the reception area clean tidy and presentable
  • Stock counting/monitoring

What were looking for

  • Experience dealing with customers in a customer-facing role
  • Strong administration and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Confident using the telephone.
  • Excellent IT skills Microsoft (Outlook Word and Excel).
  • Have a passion and love for animals!
