About the RoleWe are seeking a Systematic Credit Strategist to join the Systematic High Yield team within the Alpha Strategies Group. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in an established product with proven track record of success. As a core member of the team you will have direct involvement in research portfolio construction and external communication. This individual should be a thoughtful team player able to collaborate constructively and contribute with the TeamThe Alpha Strategies team is a multi-asset investment team managing approximately $9billion in AUM. The team invests across credit and equities combining fundamental research and quantitative insights. Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the continued evolution of the strategy through collaborative effortContribute constructively to process improvements that enhance the strategys resilience transparency and closely with team members to maintain existing portfolio construction and rebalancing processes including help resolving technical issuesMonitor live portfolios analyzing behavior and holdings relative to objectives risk budgets and market with centralized teams such as credit research quantitative research trading risk management and technology to ensure the strategy benefits from shared expertise across the & Client EngagementInterest and comfort in client facing communication is a must to help promote the product and grow assets under managementServe as a credible representative of the strategy with confidence and intellectual honestyClearly and thoughtfully articulate the strategys philosophy construction and performance to institutional clients prospects and investment consultantsHelp produce written marketing materials analysis and commentary suitable for sophisticated external & Education RequirementsDemonstrated quantitative and statistical rigor including data analysis factor research backtesting and performance analysis strongly troubleshooting realworld research or optimization challenges (e.g. infeasible solutions data issues).Solid understanding of fixed income analytics spread measures and risk in corporate credit and high yield seen fundamentals with a welldeveloped intuition for issuers capital structures and credit verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely.A collaborative mindset intellectual curiosity and willingness to take ownership of work from idea generation through in MATLAB required SQL Python Bloomberg Office 365Willingness to travelPreferred Experience5-10 years prior experience with systematic or quantitative credit to institutional clients consultants or investment degree in Finance Economics Statistics Mathematics Engineering Physics or a related quantitative RequirementsThe position follows a hybrid schedule with two days work from home and three days work from Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $130000 - $250000 USD. Your starting salary will be based on your experience skills qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award which is based on individual and company addition to your compensation you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health well-being and financial security.
