The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Workplace Coach & Skills Enhancement Center Lead to support the Skills Enhancement Center in Huntsville AL!
Lead the Workplace Coach (WPC) team and the Skills Enhancement Center (SEC) to implement and sustain the Boeing Production System and Lean manufacturing excellence across assembly operations. Drive continuous improvement talent development and operational performance through data-driven coaching training and cross-functional collaboration. Operate with minimal direction and influence at the appropriate organizational levels to implement strategic plans and metrics.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day activities of the Workplace Coach team and the Skills Enhancement Center including staffing scheduling performance management and development.
- Plan and facilitate complex group workshops and Accelerated Improvement events using advanced Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping Takt Time Single Piece Flow 5S PDCA).
- Analyze and interpret operational data to identify opportunities and risks; provide feedback and recommended improvements.
- Develop and execute improvement strategies deployment plans and metrics to achieve business objectives (quality cost delivery safety).
- Design and deliver hands-on skills training and standardized work coaching to build operator capability and sustainment via the SEC.
- Partner with Operations Quality Engineering Industrial Engineering Tooling and Supply Chain to integrate process changes and validate readiness for production.
- Lead projects and workstreams from problem definition through implementation and measurement of results; provide regular status and lessons learned to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to shop processes including FOD/ESD prevention material handling safety and calibration requirements.
- Promote change management continuous learning and systems thinking across teams to embed a continuous improvement culture.
Other Responsibilities May Include:
- Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers.
- Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria. Analyzes and interprets data.
- Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk.
- Works with organizations to develop strategies plans and metrics to achieve business objectives.
- Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
- Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5 years of experience in an aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment
- 1 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
- 1 years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
- 1 years of experience with developing and documenting processes
- Willing and able to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Previous experience implementing LEAN principles
- Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final pre-start or post-start U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Summary pay range: $111350 - $150650 USD
