The North Plainfield School District a culturally diverse Pre-Kï½12 district serving approximately 3700 students in Somerset County is seeking a dynamic and innovative Student Assistance Counselor for North Plainfield High School.

Qualifications:

Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate
Substance Awareness Coordinator Endorsement required
Knowledge of substance abuse counseling curriculum development and staff training
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide counseling and intervention services for students with substance abuse concerns
Coordinate referrals aftercare plans and prevention programs
Collaborate with families staff treatment providers and community agencies
Support staff development and substance awareness training
Assist with policy review prevention initiatives and community outreach
Perform other duties as assigned within certification scope

Salary:
$69630 (minimum) to $103470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
