Your role

• Reporting to the Infrastructure Solutions manager this position provides the opportunity to join a highly skilled and motivated IT team responsible for design and delivery solutions.
• The Infrastructure Solutions team is located within the IT Services sector within AtkinsRéalis.
• The team consists of technical subject matter experts who focus on IT Design and L3 support for projects across the organisation.
• Embracing and developing the latest technologies the team provides technical solutions which drive business success.
• The role requires an in depth understanding of Nutanix hyperconverged Infrastructure HPE storage technologies Microsoft Server operating systems including Domain services and Windows security technologies.
• Proven experience of delivering technical projects is essential along with the following:
  • Technical Leadership.
  • Design (HLD/LLD) implementation and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Identifying suitable solutions to meet the present and future requirements (both functional and non-functional).
  • Implementation and testing.
  • Work to deadlines with confidence and professionalism.

About you

• Successful candidates will be experienced in the delivery of IT services in large enterprises and be able to demonstrate thorough technical knowledge and understanding in the following areas.
• Essential
  • L2/L3 level of experience of Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
  • Design and implementation Nutanix HCI.
  • Excellent understanding of HPE Enterprise server & storage experience platforms
  • Excellent understanding of Veeam Backup and Replication
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Server technologies including domain services.
  • Solid understanding of Fibre Channel iSCSI and core networking fundamentals.

• Desirable
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCOM.
  • Knowledge of configuring and hardening of server management tooling (iDRAC iLO OneView).
  • Nutanix/Microsoft certification or equivalent experience.
• Behavioural

  • Ability to take on complex challenges and utilise technical knowledge and experience to deliver effective solutions.
  • Working effectively within project organisations estimating time and resources needed to complete tasks and delivering to those targets.

  • Communicate concisely and lead technical discussions with stakeholders colleagues and third parties.
  • Provide technical leadership to teams throughout the enterprise.
  • Influence and guide good practice and behaviours.
  • Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams.
  • Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services.
  • Ability to plan prioritise and complete your own work whilst remaining a team player.

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
