Overview
Nomad Digital is looking for a Head of Sales France to take full commercial ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers within the rail and transport sector.
This is an empowered and autonomous role combining key account leadership and new business development. You will act as the executive commercial owner for your accounts driving revenue growth leading senior customer relationships shaping deals and representing Nomad Digital at the highest level.
This is a hybrid role with a mix of working from home and being based in our Saint-Ouen office each week. Expect 25%-50% of this role to involve travel also.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Ownership
- Own and develop longterm strategic relationships with key customers engaging at senior and executive level.
- Define and execute multiyear account strategies aligned with customer programmes and Nomad Digitals growth objectives.
- Evangelizes about Nomad technologiespossessingagoodleveloftechnical knowledgecapable ofpresenting& discussingNomadproducts &solutionsclearly &effectivelyto clients and prospects.
- Providesqualityfeedback on product and service requests from the customerensuringthey areacted onappropriately within the Nomad organization.
- Produces comprehensive and accuratereports / meeting notes to ensure relevant stakeholders remain adequately as the primary commercial authority for assigned accounts.
Business Growth & New Opportunities
- Drive new business development within existing key accounts and targeted new customers.
- Identify qualify and shape opportunities from early engagement through contract award.
- Define competitive positioning and win strategies for complex sales cycles.
Commercial & Contractual Leadership
- Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations including review of legal and commercial terms working closely with Legal and Finance.
- Balance commercial opportunity risk and margin in line with governance frameworks.
- Ensurescompliance with Nomad Digital sales processes requirementspreparing & leadingbid sign-off reviews coordinating the relationship between key client personnel and Nomad Digital senior executives.
- Produces high quality proposals in collaboration with the Bid support team and in line with the bid requiredbudgetary proposalsto asufficientstandard ofqualityonhis/herown leveraging on Technical teams and expertise and using the templates provided by the bid team.
- Maintain full accountability for revenue margin backlog and forecasts within assigned accounts.
Customer Governance & Internal Leadership
- Lead Business Reviews and formal customer governance forums.
- Act as the escalation point for commercial and relationship matters.
- Collaborates with the Delivery function to ensure the smooth transition of projects from Sales to Delivery supporting Project Managers on client management issuesas and whenrequired.
- UpdatesCRMon a regular basis (minimum on a weekly basis)maintainingan accuratesales pipelinetoassistmanagement reporting upwards & to support the budget/ financialplanning process.
- Provide leadership across internal teams (Bid Delivery Product O&M) to ensure seamless execution and longterm customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Experience
- Senior experience in strategic account management and complex solution selling.
- Proven track record of growing major accounts and winning new business
- Experience in rail transport Information and Communications Technology or related infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.
Skills & Expertise
- Strong commercial contractual and negotiation capability.
- Ability to engage confidently with procurement engineering operations and executive stakeholders.
- Technically credible with the ability to articulate digital and connectivity solutions without being a pure engineer.
- Strategic mindset combined with handson execution.
Personal Attributes
- Highly autonomous accountable and trusted to take decisions.
- Commercially sharp persuasive and customercentric.
- Comfortable operating in complex matrix organisations.
Qualifications & Languages
- Degree in Business Engineering Information and Communications Technology or a related discipline.
- Fluent in English & French (spoken and written) Spanish or German would be a plus
- Willingness to travel regularly.
- Clean driving licence.
Other Essential Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in French and English
- Familiarity with industrial and maintenance processes in a railway environment is not an absolute requirement but strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel within Europe: 10% - 20% (depending on project phase).
- Able to work onsite in train depots or shunting yards.
