We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding as a Domestic Abuse Senior Practitioner.

We have an exciting role on offer within our access safeguarding team. Adult social care provides support to service users with a range of needs for example those arising from homelessness mental health substance use domestic abuse and sexual exploitation or as a result of physical health needs.

Are you experienced in working with vulnerable victims of domestic abuse

Are you passionate about domestic abuse and ensuring that adult victims receive specialist support focused on safety planning risk assessment and multi agency collaboration.

Are you experienced adult social care or domestic abuse practitioner that can apply domestic abuse lens to cases and provide advice and guidance to colleagues responding to referrals in adult social care.

What you will do

Work directly with victims of domestic abuse referred to adult access/safeguarding to ensure they can access domestic abuse support appropriate to their needs.

Engage with services to ensure that adults victims are offered needs led assessment safety planning and support at the earliest opportunity. What you will bring.

Professional qualification in relation to social work or safeguarding.

Strong knowledge of adult social care policy and legislation

Understanding of Domestic Abuse power and control dynamics coercive behaviour and the complexity of issues prevalent when working with both victims and perpetrators.

Experience of working collaboratively with services to ensure improve access to services needs led assessment and dynamic approach to victims of domestic abuse to increase engagement and reduce victim attrition.
