Position: SeniorFinancial Analyst- CorporateFinance and Control

Compensation Details:
Acct. & Financial Analysis 18: Salaries typically range from $96557 to $128743 annually based on qualifications and experiences plus a performance-based incentive.
Location:
Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment with a current requirement of two or three in-office days per week increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa
Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

We are currently looking to fill positions onourTreasuryand InvestmentAccounting team.

What you will be doing:
Reaches beyond received data to review and analyze results with a critical eye for meeting financial reporting requirements and a willingness to challenge others as needed.
Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity and judgment by linking financial results to underlying business portfolio structures and economic drivers.
Identifies opportunities to enhance underlying data definitions and structures to improve accuracy consistency and understandability of financial insights and management reporting.
Drives continuous improvement by challenging processes collaborating across teams and leveraging technology and data to enhance insights and reporting quality.
Explainsdifficult/complex issues in a manner that fosters mutual respect uses tact and diplomacy to persuade others to adopt a point of communications and presentations for senior leadership to share insights on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
Providesinsights for financial and non-financial stakeholders through variance analysis forecastingand long-range planning.
Provides financial accounting and prepares financial statements notes to the financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and approves journal entries and reconciliations.
Participates in various system implementation or enhancement projects including consulting recommending and implementing reporting requirements.
Researchesandinterpretsnew accounting standards/guidelines to assess potential impacts on financial reporting and accounting activities.
Provides advice on internal control issues and recommends and implements reporting enhancements.
Performs general accounting activities and maintains accounting and financial records and reports including general ledger financial statements regulatory and management reports.
Prepares analyzes and reports accounting transactions ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
Ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations professional standards and organization policies.
What we are looking for:
Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration Accounting Finance Commerce or other relevant discipline.
Professional accounting designation such as CPA or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business accounting and/or financial analysis.
Experienceworkingwithlargecomplex databases.
Advanced knowledge ofPower BI Power Queryand DAX.
Advanced knowledge of IFRS accounting and financial analysis principles and practices.
Excellent MS Excel Word and PowerPoint capabilities
What will make you stand out:
Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
Advanced knowledge ofIFRS 9andIFRS 13
Experience in auditing financial transactions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organizeandanalyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience withqueries report writing data visualization and presentingresultsusing MS PowerPoint.
