Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist with strong Electrophysiology (EP) experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity acute care setting in Hyannis Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures capable of working independently in a fast-paced procedural environment. This role involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac vascular and EP procedures while ensuring optimal patient care safety and imaging quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic interventional cardiac vascular and EP procedures
- Scrub circulate and monitor hemodynamic parameters in real time
- Operate imaging and interventional equipment as required
- Prepare sterile trays and maintain strict sterile technique
- Administer and assist with contrast media under physician supervision
- Monitor document and record intracardiac and vascular pressures
- Ensure patient safety comfort and support throughout procedures
- Perform radiation safety protocols including proper shielding use
- Position and transfer patients safely within the procedural environment
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and reporting
- Manage inventory and ensure equipment readiness
- Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance
- Support EP lab workflows and advanced electrophysiology procedures
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage (nights weekends holidays)
Required Qualifications
- 23 years recent Cath Lab experience required
- Strong Electrophysiology (EP) experience required
- Experience in interventional cardiac and/or vascular procedures
- Ability to scrub circulate and monitor independently
- Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and sterile technique
- Ability to perform in high-pressure clinical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- English proficiency (read write speak)
Education
- Associates degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology preferred
OR - Associates degree or higher with minimum 3 years Cath Lab experience
Certifications
- BLS (AHA) Required
- ACLS Required
- RCIS (preferred)
- IABP certification/course required or willingness to obtain
- EP/Cath Lab competency or equivalent advanced training required
