Job Summary
Position Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Atlanta GA
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
Provide high-volume breast imaging services including mammography breast ultrasound bone density and breast biopsy procedures in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department.
Requirements:
- Active ARRT (Mammography) certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent Mammography experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Experience with Hologic mammography systems required
- Strong high-volume imaging experience required
- No local candidates within 50 miles
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
- Support breast ultrasound and bone density imaging
- Assist with breast biopsy procedures
- Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate positioning
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Follow radiation safety and imaging protocols
- Document procedures in EMR systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and breast care team
- Manage high patient volume efficiently (approx. 100 patients/day)
