The Role

At FLSmidth we are driving the mining industry toward zero emissions by 2030. As a Site Support Specialist based in Arequipa you will be the strategic link between our Aftermarket (PCV) technological solutions and our customers operational needs. You will not just manage a product line; you will become a Trusted Technical Advisor ensuring the efficiency reliability and growth of FLSmidths footprint in the field.

Main Responsibilities

• Strategic Order Intake Management: Drive and meet the annual sales budget for the assigned PCV product line executing commercial activities to protect and expand our market presence.

• Technical Consultancy: Act as a subject matter expert for customers providing high-level technical presentations and metallurgical process simulations to support the acquisition of technical solutions.

• Greenfield & Brownfield Development: Proactively identify opportunities for equipment upgrades (Brownfield) and new projects (Greenfield) by translating site inspections into solid commercial proposals.

• Field Excellence: Conduct regular site visits to monitor the operational and maintenance status of PCV equipment ensuring assets are performing at peak capacity.

• Sales & Service Synergy: Collaborate closely with the Site & Service Sales team to provide integrated support for key strategic accounts.

• Service Excellence: Ensure that all parts and service requests for the product line are addressed promptly and meet FLSmidths global quality standards.

What You Bring

• Educational Background: Degree in Mechanical Metallurgical or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).

• Experience: Proven track record in technical-commercial support or industrial sales within the mining or minerals processing sector.

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of metallurgical processes and large-scale mining equipment.

• Results-Oriented: A strategic mindset focused on meeting KPIs and commercial targets.

• Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Arequipa with the flexibility to travel frequently to mine sites.

Tus Responsabilidades Principales

• Gestión Estratégica del Order Intake: Liderar el cumplimiento del presupuesto de ventas para la línea de productos PCV asegurando un crecimiento sostenible en el mercado peruano.

• Asesoría Técnica y Consultoría: Actuar como el referente técnico para el cliente realizando simulaciones de procesos metalúrgicos y presentaciones de alto nivel para justificar la adquisición de soluciones técnicas.

• Desarrollo de Negocios (Greenfield & Brownfield): Identificar proactivamente oportunidades de modernización (Brownfield) y nuevos proyectos (Greenfield) transformando las inspecciones en sitio en propuestas comerciales sólidas.

• Presencia en Campo: Realizar visitas regulares a las unidades mineras para inspeccionar el estado operativo y de mantenimiento de los equipos PCV asegurando que operen a su máxima capacidad.

• Sinergia de Ventas y Servicios: Trabajar de la mano con el equipo de Site & Service Sales para brindar una atención integral a nuestras cuentas estratégicas.

• Excelencia en el Servicio: Supervisar que la atención a las solicitudes de repuestos y servicios técnicos cumpla con los estándares de calidad y tiempo de respuesta de FLSmidth.

Qué buscamos

• Profesional con sólida formación técnica (Ingeniería Mecánica Metalúrgica Industrial o afines).

• Experiencia comprobable en soporte técnico-comercial dentro del sector minero.

• Conocimiento profundo de procesos metalúrgicos y equipos de procesamiento de minerales.

• Capacidad de negociación y enfoque en resultados (cumplimiento de KPIs).

• Residencia o disponibilidad para base en Arequipa con disponibilidad para viajes frecuentes a mina.
