Electrical Engineer Description

Our client in the machinery manufacturing industry is looking for an Electrical Engineer to add to their team in Mt. Carmel IL. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will support engineering production and field service operations through the design troubleshooting and continuous improvement of electrical systems for custom industrial machinery. You will be responsible for supporting the electrical design across multiple active projects. Daily responsibilities include creating electrical schematics developing panel layouts troubleshooting equipment on the shop floor and supporting machine builds from concept through commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have experience within capital equipment industrial machinery automation heavy manufacturing or similar environments along with proficiency in AutoCAD. Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

Create 2D electrical drawings and schematics of industrial machinery
Develop electrical panel layouts and release engineering bills of material
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications
Collaborate with Mechanical and Controls Engineers on design and integration
Support customers service production and sales teams with technical guidance
Implement product improvements to enhance safety improve performance and reduce costs
Assist with equipment installation commissioning and troubleshooting as needed
Provide day-to-day engineering support to the shop floor during active machine builds

Electrical Engineer Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience required
3 years of electrical engineering experience within capital equipment industrial machinery automation or manufacturing environments required
Experience creating electrical schematics in AutoCAD required
General knowledge of electrical controls and their function within industrial machinery required
Ability to read ladder logic required
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation required
