The student awarded this position will work with students in the ENV327W class (Writing about Environmental Science) during Fall 2026 to help them meet the writing goals of the class. Students who have already excelled in ENV327W are preferred but anyone with solid written communication skills can apply. Applicants must be available to attend the Fall semesters class meetings. The TA will be available to meet with students outside of class hours either in-person or virtually.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • As assigned by the instructor reviewing and editing student work
  • Meeting with students to help with writing assignments
  • Possibly directing students to the Writing Center

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Improved understanding of your own writing skills
  • Experience mentoring students in their writing

Approved for 108 hours (roughly 7.2 hours/week for 15 weeks) at $12/hr.

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
