Job Summary

Work Flexibility: Onsite

What you will do:

  • Design and implement automation solutions for new automated production equipment including customized fixtures and tooling.

  • Develop equipment specifications and deploy automated equipment aligned to the sites automation roadmap (mechanization data automation and digital shop-floor tools).

  • Monitor existing automated processes and implement improvements to increase capacity reduce scrap/reject rates and enhance line safety using data-driven methods.

  • Execute equipment and process validations and document results through technical protocols and formal reports.

  • Perform failure analyses on automated production equipment (e.g. fault tree analysis failure mode and effects analysis) and drive corrective actions to restore and improve performance.

  • Create and maintain operating procedures standard work and visual work instructions for automated equipment and process changes.

  • Train production teams on new automation and updates to existing equipment and advance-train maintenance technicians and engineers who service automated systems.

  • Coordinate project execution by leading periodic design/project reviews supporting capital expenditure requests and managing supplier interactions and bidding activities with machine shops/equipment vendors.

What you will need

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related).

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in manufacturing engineering and/or industrial automation.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (business communication).

  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying process mechanization/automation in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical mechanical and wiring blueprints/schematics.

  • Experience with computer-aided design tools (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks Pro/ENGINEER or equivalent).Intermediate programming capability with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and SQL.

  • Experience writing and executing equipment and process validations and using structured failure analysis methods (e.g. fault tree analysis FMEA).

Preferred

  • Experience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.

  • Experience using a project management tool (e.g. Microsoft Project or equivalent).

Travel Percentage: 10%
