JOB TITLE:
Nursing Supervsior
JOB PURPOSE:
Supervise nursing staff; assess patients needs; provide nursing care for patients in the infirmary or other designated facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hire train supervise and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
- Participate in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
- Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
- Maintain patient health care records.
- Administer immunizations draw labs point of care testing start IVs and other nursing duties as necessary.
- Maintain supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sterilize supplies and equipment; maintain treatment rooms; re-stock medical supplies.
- Maintain updated supply of patient educational materials.
- Participate in medical staff meetings and roundtable presentations; maintenance and promotion of AAAHC accreditation standards; guidance to SHS support staff; guest lectures as need arises.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing
Experience: 3 years work-related experience
Required licensure certification registration or other requirements:
- Valid State of Wyoming registration as a Registered Nurse or the ability to successfully attain licensure within 45 days of University employment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledgeof best standards of practice including State and Federal laws and regulations that apply to the provision of health care and local and national trends related to college health.
- Knowledge of holistic preventative health principles.
- Nursing and case management theory and practice including patient evaluation and triage.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA FERPA the Clery Act Title IX OSHA and federal sexual assault regulations.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and knowledge of accreditation requirements.
