Were looking for a Software Developer supporting the analytics infrastructure of an Enterprise Data Lake on AWS. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a production support mindset strong cloud infrastructure experience and the ability to work across teams in a controlled data environment.
What youll do
- Support and maintain AWS EMR Glue and S3 infrastructure for ingestion and analytics workloads
- Develop automation scripts and tooling to improve operational reliability and reduce manual processes
- Assist with incident triage diagnostics escalation and production recovery activities
- Work with platform partners to build infrastructure code for new workload accounts and environments
- Contribute to the transition from EMR to Snowflake and Iceberg pipelines
- Identify and help remediate cloud risks by engaging the appropriate stakeholders
- Produce clear operational analysis and updates for technical and leadership audiences
What you bring
- Proficiency in Python Bash/Shell scripting and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EMR Glue S3 Lambda EC2 CloudFormation SQS and SNS
- Familiarity with Glue Catalog Hive Metastore and Data Mesh architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Working knowledge of IAM concepts and data governance controls
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical issues into clear updates
- Eligibility for Reliability Status Security Clearance (mandatory)
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg
- Familiarity with data lake zone architecture (ingestion curated and derived layers)
- Experience mentoring team members or leading complex technical assignments
- Exposure to AI platforms for process improvement and automation
