Job Summary
Required Skills
- 8 years experience with Teradata V17
- 5 years experience in ETL using awk and Shell Scripting in a Unix/Linux environment
- 5 years experience with experience with Teradata Utilities (TPT Mload Fastload BTEQ etc.)
- 3-5 years experience with performance tuning within a Teradata environment (SQL Joins Indexes Viewpoint Explains)
- 3-5 years experience in loading data from multiple source systems
- 3-5 years experience SQL Skills that include working with joins indexes partitions at table level and performance tuning skillsets
- 1 years experience with BI reporting tool along with basic modelling operations and maintenance issues.
- Experience working with end users/customers to understand system and business issues and perform technical analysis to develop solutions
- Ability to provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support
- Must be able to work independently and not rely on team members
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with programmers analysts immediate supervisor management system users operations other State agencies and the private sector.
- Recognize gather correlate and analyze facts draw conclusions define problems and devise solutions and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations.
Preferred but not Required Skills
- Certified Teradata Master
- Experience maintaining Dashboards and other basic reports related to data warehouse on a daily basis.
- Experience with Teradata Studio/Teradata SQL Assistant
- Experience with cloud based BI tools/Data Warehouse implementations
- Previous experience with State Government
