Job Summary

Position: Substitute School Nurse (RN)
Location: Essex Junction Vermont
Start Date: August 19 2026
Duration: Through the end of October 2026
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and health services to students
Assess and respond to illnesses injuries and health concerns
Support student wellness and preventive care initiatives
Respond to emergencies within the school setting
Collaborate with teachers counselors administrators and staff
Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
Requirements:
Active RN License (Vermont or eligibility to obtain Vermont licensure)
School Nurse endorsement eligibility preferred
Experience in school nursing pediatrics public health or youth-focused care preferred
Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
