Platform Engineer (GitLab & Terraform)

Technical Expertise

- 7 years of experience in Platform Engineering DevOps or SRE roles

- Deep hands-on expertise with GitLab SaaS/Managed and Terraform Cloud/Enterprise

- Strong experience with AWS Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code

- Practical experience using AI-assisted tools within engineering workflows

Ownership & Execution

- Proven ability to own and operate production platforms end-to-end

- Demonstrated experience operating live systems with high availability and security

requirements

- Strong bias toward automation reliability and operational excellence

Collaboration & Communication

- Experience partnering with engineers security and product teams

- Clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences

- Ability to mentor and elevate other engineers through practical guidance

- Curiosity and adaptability when working with emerging technologies

Core Responsibilities

- Manage Gitlab Platform (SaaS) and Terraform Cloud including internal infrastructure and

automation to meet scalability reliability and modernization objectives in compliance with

SSDLC and Security standards

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines runners templates and shared components

- Develop maintain and evangelize IaC by building modules guardrails policy as code and

additional automation and integrations with Enterprise Platforms

- Integrate AI-assisted capabilities into CI/CD code review incident response and

operational workflows

- Promote responsible and governed use of AI tooling aligned with enterprise AI standards

- Build and operate Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps workflows

- Automate access management provisioning and lifecycle workflows

- Own operational readiness observability and on-call responsibilities for platform services

- Capture and monitor metrics related to platform usage flow and operational health

- Identify trends gaps and friction points proposing data-driven improvements

- Provide insights to inform platform roadmap and investment decisions

- Develop documentation runbooks reference architectures and best practices
