Job Title: Manager Supply Chain Information Systems
Location: Boston MA preferred (open to remote candidates)
Contract Duration: 6 months
FLSA Status: Exempt
Overview We are seeking a Manager Supply Chain Information Systems to lead the operation maintenance and strategic direction of materials management and supply chain systems within a large healthcare environment. This role is responsible for driving system optimization supporting operational efficiency and enabling cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee the administration maintenance and enhancement of Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) and related platforms
- Develop and implement system protocols including vendor and item maintenance user setup troubleshooting and new functionality
- Partner with internal stakeholders and IT teams to manage system upgrades patches and performance
- Lead system-related projects including implementations reporting enhancements and process improvements
- Direct and mentor staff responsible for system operations reporting and data management
- Monitor vendor performance contract compliance and pricing accuracy using system tools
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and Accounts Payable for system and invoice discrepancies
- Develop and maintain policies procedures and training documentation
- Provide training and support to internal teams on system usage and best practices
Qualifications Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required
Experience:
- 5 years of supply chain information systems management experience in a healthcare environment
- OR 10 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in progressive leadership roles
Skills & Competencies - Strong project management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive results
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Peoplesoft MMIS and GHX Required
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain systems (ERP purchasing inventory reporting)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access Excel PowerPoint and Project
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to implement process improvements and new programs
Additional Requirements - Applicants must be eligible to work on a W-2 basis (no C2C)
- Must be able to pass a background check and occupational health screening (includes flu vaccination)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Primarily desk-based with extensive computer use
- Frequent data entry reporting and system navigation
- Occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds)
- Regular sitting reaching and fine motor activities
