Autosar / Embedded HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Validation Engineer Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Autosar / Embedded HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Validation Engineer on behalf of our client in Sunnyvale California. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing embedded automotive validation team supporting ECU and system-level validation activities for Autosar-based embedded systems in a fast-paced engineering environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in embedded automotive validation HiL testing CAN communication and automation scripting along with a passion for troubleshooting and system-level integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ECU and system-level validation for embedded automotive systems
- Execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing using dSpace or Vector environments
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and validation workflows
- Validate CAN communication and ECU interactions using CANoe/CANalyzer
- Support Autosar stack integration and validation activities
- Debug embedded communication signaling and system behavior issues
- Work with simulation environments and partial-system hardware setups
- Execute integration and system-level validation activities
- Collaborate closely with embedded software and validation teams onsite
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in automotive embedded validation
- Hands-on HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing experience
- ECU or embedded systems validation background
- Proficiency in Python scripting and test automation
- Strong understanding of CAN/CAN bus systems
- Experience with Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer) or dSpace
- Automotive industry experience
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced onsite engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Autosar / Classic Autosar experience
- ECU driver or device driver exposure
- SiL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing experience
- SWE.6 / SYS.4 validation exposure
- Embedded C/C background
- ECU integration testing experience
- Automation framework development
- Simulation environment experience
- Experience working with Tier-1 automotive suppliers or startup environments
