Position Summary:
The Technology Support Intern will provide support to the whole organization by helping staff interns and volunteers resolve IT issues. The intern will gain practical hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while providing an essential service.
Essential Duties:
- Respond to staff queries ina timelyandaccurateway via a ticketing system email phone chat or by providing help in person
- Help with installing and configuring computer systems and applications when requested by IT and Innovation team members
- Troubleshoot desktop environments running Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Resolveissues related to software computer and network connectivity
- Analyze report and fix hardware malfunctions
- Help individuals use specific software and software features
- Work with Information Technology & Innovation staff and others to create training resources
- Assistwith technologytrainings
- Sharefeature requests and effective workarounds with IT and Innovation team members
- Effectivelydocumentand sharework product
- Submit articles to publish in theIT and InnovationKnowledgebaseand/ormonthlyTechTipsnewsletter
- Communicateeffectively with staff internsand volunteers
- Assistwith tasks related to development of a statewide website such as uploading and formatting site content
Required Qualifications:
- Interest in developing skills in tech support
- Strong drive to solve problems
- Verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Time management skills and ability to work with deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and follow security protocols
- Eagerness to learn and explore core and innovative technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with customer service
- Experience using remote support tools
- Experience with Office 365 applications
Location:
This positioncan be housed in the Colorado Springs or Denveroffice.
Time commitment:
Part-time 15-20 hours per week.
Compensation:
The position is unpaid but is open to receiving other work study funds that arestudent generated. Students may apply for course credit through their Externship Program.
