Director of Business Development

We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will lead our growth efforts by identifying opportunities strengthening client partnerships and advancing pursuit strategies in key markets. This role is ideal for a driven professional who brings industry insight credibility and a passion for building meaningful connections that support Murray Companys long-term goals.

What Youll Do:

• Develop and execute business development strategies for assigned markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and industry contacts.
• Identify track and pursue new project opportunities and market trends.
• Lead or support RFQs RFPs interviews and other pursuit activities.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to position Murray Company for success.
• Represent the company at industry events association meetings and community functions.
• Contribute to sales forecasting pipeline management and long-range growth planning.
• Support team development knowledge sharing and continuous improvement efforts.

Skills & Qualifications include:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10 years of related business development sales marketing or construction industry experience.
• Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Strong communication presentation and client-facing skills.
• Experience leading pursuit efforts and collaborating across teams.
• Strategic mindset with strong organization and follow-through.
• Commercial construction experience preferred.
• Available to national travel for business growth with up to 75% travel based on organizational needs including occasional overnight and weekend commitments required.
