The Receiver Exciter & Back-End Processing Department (REBP) department is composed of an energetic multi-disciplinary team working collaboratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide mission ready capabilities to our research develop design and integrate electrical (Analog Power RF/Microwave and Digital) components embedded and digital signal processing software equipment systems sub-systems and networks for the defense of domestic and foreign purposes.

As member of our team youll have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems and equipment from receivers exciters and processing electronics and communications systems that support multiple Radar of the programs our department supports include Global Patriot ( and Early Warning Systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical design and development an eagerness to learn the ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team and an interest in complex real-time critical systems.

This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do

• Develop performant C implementations of signal processing algorithms or other time critical control functions for heterogenous hardware platforms running Linux.
• Develop Python or Matlab code to support building deploying and testing.
• Maintain legacy sensor software systems
• Work with systems and hardware engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms.
• Develop robust scalable performance driven software to be deployed on large scale computing systems
• Improve code quality by supporting software integration verification and performing code reviews

Qualifications You Must Have

• Masters degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) such as Computer Engineering or Computer Science obtained prior to start

Qualifications We Prefer

• 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Experience developing in C particularly in the Linux environment
• Experience in Matlab
• Exposure to basic software engineering principles
• Signal processing experience

  The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
