Job Summary
Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified Air Current Operations SME to support NATOs Joint Force Training Center (JFTC) located in Bydgoszcz Poland conducting training and exercises for the NATO Command Structure (NCS) and NATO Force Structure (NFS) to ensure operational ability and interoperability in a variety of environments.
The Training and Exercise Division (TED) delivers combined and joint training and exercises. Mainly static and distributed as well as single and multi-echelon for tactical and operational level headquarters staff and forces in the full spectrum of NATO operations. JFTC may assume the responsibility of the Officer Directing Exercise (ODE) for various exercises i.e. NOBLE JOLT (NOJO) LOYAL LEDA (LOLE) LOYAL DOLOS (LODO). NOJO is a logistics and sustainment centric Computer Assisted Exercise/Command Post Exercise (CAX/CPX) that will train JLSGNP. LOLE and LODO are land domain tactical level Computer Assisted Exercises/Command Post Exercises (CAX/CPX) that will train relevant headquarters from the NFS in the Warfighting Corps role. Additionally JFTC may support the NATO GEORGIA (NAGE) exercise/s.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver the products needed by Training Audience in order to portray the activity of a JFACC: e.g. Air Tasking Orders (ATO) Airspace Control Orders (ACO) reports injects and any needed document or piece of information.
- During the execution of the exercise support the training audience with the information and data required for conducting operations planning and decision-making process following a JFACC battle rhythm. That can include answering Requests for Information (RFIs) and producing additional documentation required by training audience.
- Portray the Tactical Command and Control (TAC C2) elements with which the Training Audience is in contact during a Major Joint Operation Plus (MJO).
- Build and maintain the ICC Database that will support the air play for the exercise.
- Lead the Air Response Cell which will be augmented by military personnel for execution. They are responsible for ensuring that all tasks listed in paragraph C are fulfilled.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Operational expertise with NATO air operations planning and execution
- Expertise in Air Land Integration
- Experience in recent NATO exercises (years 2023-2026)
- Recent proven operational experience on the OF3 to OF5 level or senior NCO/Specialist
- Experience in ICC
- Demonstrate recent experience (years 2023-2026) as a Chief Current Ops (CCO) or Senior Offensive Duty Officer (SODO) in the Current OPS branch of a NATO or National JFACC or as a Tactical Director or Fighter Allocator in Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) unit during exercise or real operation
- Experience working with or within an Air Support Operation Centre (ASOC)
- Experience in developing ATO
- A native English language speaker or an individual presenting excellent command of spoken and written English with a proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at the level of (SLP) NATO STANAG 6001 - 3333 (Listening Speaking Reading and Writing).
*This position is not a full-time employment work position; this is an intermittent part-time / on-call contracted work position designed to support specific named NATO training exercises. Employment is only during the execution of these training events with the work effort estimated to be a few weeks out of the year.
Clearance: Must possess an active NATO or U.S. SECRET or higher security clearance.
Location: NATO Joint Force Training Centre Bydgoszcz Poland
Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.
