Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Training Specialist to support the Presidents Office Administration & Finance function and customers of the Administrative & Finance Shared Services departments. This role is responsible for designing developing and delivering engaging training programs instructional materials job aids and video-based learning content while ensuring compliance with Title II accessibility requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in curriculum development LMS platforms training facilitation e-learning technologies and change management initiatives within corporate or higher education environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and deliver training programs related to UMass policies financial systems travel procedures budgeting procurement tools and administrative compliance requirements.
Provide instructor-led virtual and hands-on training for ERP systems procurement platforms (BuyWays) travel and expense systems (Concur) budgeting tools and other financial applications.
Create engaging instructional videos asynchronous e-learning content tutorials job aids training guides and presentations for end users.
Develop training collateral and support materials for new technology implementations and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) stakeholders and department leaders to identify training needs and develop specialized learning programs.
Support change management initiatives by documenting requirements and assisting in the design and deployment of training solutions.
Ensure all training materials and learning content comply with Title II Accessibility Requirements and accessibility standards.
Utilize LMS platforms and e-learning tools to manage publish and track training programs and learner engagement.
Develop and implement metrics reporting and feedback mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness and continuous improvement opportunities.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and process improvement across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
3-5 years of experience in training instructional design curriculum development education change management business administration or related fields.
Strong facilitation presentation communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience developing e-learning content asynchronous training modules instructional videos and digital learning materials.
Hands-on experience with LMS platforms e-learning systems and training development tools such as Camtasia Articulate 360 or similar applications.
Strong knowledge of Title II Accessibility Requirements and accessible learning content development.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting finance procurement budgeting travel or ERP-related training programs.
Knowledge of adult learning principles instructional design methodologies and training best practices.
Experience working in higher education shared services or corporate training environments.
