Description

Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time non-permanent classified Procurement & Supply Support Specialist 2 to support our Purchasing Services department. This position is a non-permanent position with an expected duration from June 15 2026 October 23 2026. The work schedule is Monday-Friday in office from 8:00 am 5:00 pm.

Position Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support department operation by providing pleasant and helpful direction/information to incoming visitors and callers.
  • Manage time and daily workload to meet daily job requirements and processing timelines established within department.
  • Track and assign approved requisitions daily in accordance with department procedures.
  • Verify requisition vendors and maintain updated records in accordance with SBCTC/ctcLink protocols.
  • Respond to routine departmental emails referring to Buyer or Purchasing Mgr. as necessary.
  • Schedule maintain and handle all details for college vans and rental vehicle rentals including key and gas card distribution and tracking.
  • Support Buyer and Purchasing Manager in typing POs as requested.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers campus community and external vendor community.
  • Support Buyer and Purchasing Manager with procurement related activities as needed.
  • Support Purchasing Services office operation by assisting with office projects and serving as backup support during staff absences/shortages.
  • Maintain working knowledge of ctcLink software.
  • Maintain working knowledge of records retention requirements and maintain department records in accordance with those records retention requirements.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s) and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in inventory control purchasing or equivalent; one (1) year of college coursework may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

Salary Range:$3028 - $3999/month Step A-M (commensurate with qualifications and experience) Range: 34 Code: 115F

Successful candidates typically start at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.

Due to the nature of this position this position is not eligible for the entire comprehensive benefits package.
