Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams/ internal stakeholders to understand their priorities and identify opportunities to drive Bank communications by studying the business landscape.
- Taking these opportunities to fruition by way of good planning and execution.
- Work on shaping corporate brand communication strategies along with Head Corporate Communications as and when required.
- Drive media relations and content (organic and inorganic) for business verticals assigned.
- Have a good understanding of Indian business media with established media relationships.
- Good writing skills are a vital requirement for the role. Experience in content creation for the financial services industry.
- Content creation ability for the portfolio assigned. Ability to craft narrative for the corporate brand as well as for leadership messaging.
- Propose and implement proactive communication plans for the businesses/ portfolio assigned.
- Be adept at assessing media opportunities and knowing which to leverage.
- Design communication campaigns and activities to strengthen the Banks brand with external stakeholders such as media potential employees and customers through the portfolio assigned.
- Co-ordinate with empanelled agencies to deliver on the PR plan for the portfolio assigned.
- Work towards preparation of Integrated Annual Report in collaboration with relevant teams and stakeholders. This includes agency management input on leadership messaging and review for accuracy of information. An eye for detail and an ability to write well is imperative.
- Lead on thought leadership articles on LinkedIn in collaboration with members of senior management.
- Responsibility for a region(s) of the country for messaging Or it may pertain to portfolio related requirements across different geographies for assessing the need identifying opportunity and executing a plan to leverage the same.
- Work with stakeholders on communications advice and execution of plan in times of crisis. Provide strategic advice to management in these times (in consultation with CCD Head) and support with handling media enquiries.
- Formulate positioning statements to manage business issues that may pose reputational risk.
- Ensure all legal regulatory and compliance issues are addressed in all communications undertaken on behalf of the businesses and report on the same in various formats as required by regulatory /governing bodies.
- Excellent understanding of Environmental Social and Governance landscape.
- Being aware of and with the ability to analyse external news reports (across platforms) on the Bank.
- Leading your businesses/ portfolio segments for delivering a strong share of voice spokesperson visibility desired tonality with the support of empanelled agencies.
- Ability to manage and direct agencies identified to support the needs of the portfolio.
Skills & Experience:
Educational Qualifications: A post graduate qualification preferably in the field of Public Relations Communications or MBA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in public relations journalism or communications out of which at least five years should be in the BFSI sector in a position of responsibility.
Deep understanding and experience of corporate communications roles - particularly media relations and corporate reputation.
Skills:
- S/he will have a track record of developing and executing successful communications plans and programmes providing high-quality deliverables. S/he will possess the ability to assess situations quickly and offer holistic advice in line with the brand policies. Should possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Has a keen understanding of the media landscape and trends new age media and social media tools. Is comfortable interacting with senior executives.
