Job Summary
At New Story Schools we serve students ages 521 with autism and emotional behavioral and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning therapeutic integration and collaboration we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. Join our team and help students write their new story.
As a Mental Health Professional at New Story Schools you will provide counseling and emotional support that helps students manage challenges and thrive academically and socially. You will guide students through individualized interventions promote social-emotional learning and contribute to a positive inclusive school culture.
What Youll Need
Masters degree in counseling psychology social work or related field
Active PA license or certification in counseling social work or school counseling
Minimum two years of experience providing individual or group counseling to children
Expertise in trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning
Strong communication crisis intervention and collaboration skills
What Youll Do
Provide individual and group counseling aligned to student goals and IEPs
Collaborate with educators and families to design and monitor behavior or counseling plans
Conduct crisis intervention and provide emotional support to students in distress
Lead social-emotional learning sessions and professional development for staff
Document counseling services and maintain compliance with confidentiality standards
