Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as a Vehicle Dealer Product Quality and Telematics Data Steward.

The primary responsibility of this role is to work closely with the Vehicle Dealer and Product Quality and Telematics business groups to understand their business processes and how those processes create use update and archive Vehicle Dealer Product Quality and Telematics data. As a Vehicle Dealer Product Quality and Telematics data subject matter expert the Data Steward works with business and technical teams to ensure systems are designed and delivered that both leverage and protect our valuable data assets.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Enablement the person in this role will join the Risk & Operations Management team to visualize and reduce Toyotas technology risk by integrating cybersecurity privacy and compliance disciplines.

What youll be doing

  • Ensure data access approval falls within accepted governance processes and adhere to regulatory policies

  • Collaborate with Requestors and Business Owners to direct requests to sustainable patterns

  • Research and understand the main data sources for the Vehicle Dealer Product Quality and Telematics data domains

  • Support patterns for creating and accessing the data/metadata including Data Classification

What you bring:

  • A bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 10 years experience in the Vehicle Dealer Product Quality and Telematics Data/Analytics field with deep domain expertise.

  • Expertise in Enterprise Data Management which includes Mainframe/Legacy systems operational Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) unstructured data stores (e.g. Data Lakes) Data Warehouse/Marts ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes and web services (aka APIs).

  • Expertise in Service Now focused on Request Management and Incident Management using Service Now Console View

  • Expertise in Data Visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)

  • Expertise in Metadata Management tools (e.g. Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog/Axon Collibra Data Intelligence Platform)

  • Proficient in the data governance process with exposure to privacy and financial regulation.

  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic consultative services to management and executive leaders; focused on long term objectives impacting business results and driving change.

  • Ability to solve problems. Anticipates and communicates implications of work on adjacent fields

  • Leads projects and prevents problems before they arise

  • Advanced interpersonal skills; change management negotiation influencing abilities; high-level communication skills

  • Education: Masters Degree

  • Hands-on experience with Toyota Vehicle Dealer and Product Quality systems
